Elegant Memorials sells funeral program and thank you card templates.  A template is a document that serves as a guide for you to create your own funeral program on your home computer and printer.  Just purchase a template from our site, download it to your computer, insert your pictures and information, save and print on your home computer.  You can print out as many copies as you need.  You can also take your edited funeral program file to an office supply store or a print and copy shop and have them print your programs for

What software programs do I need to use your templates?

You will need Microsoft Word 2003 or higher to use our templates (NOT Microsoft WORKS).  If you do not have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, you may be able to download a trial version from the Microsoft Website.  Here is the link to the trial version of the software  

I have a MAC, can I use the templates?

Yes...our templates work with MAC.  You just have to have Microsoft Word 2002 or higher, or any Microsoft Word Compatible Software (Like Apple Pages).

Are your templates easy to use?

Yes!  If you are familiar with Microsoft Word, than you can easily use our templates.  Since the templates are pre-formatted, all you have to do is open the template, click in the textbox and replace the text with your specific information and add your photos.  ALL TEXT is customizable.  Be as creative as you want.

What can I change on my template?

You can change ALL TEXT on our Funeral Program Templates.  Feel free to change the title of your funeral program to something more suiting.  For example, you can change "In Loving Memory" to "In Remembrance" or "Remembering Her Life".  All poems can be changed, and additional poems, scriptures and notes can be added.  Our templates are created in Microsoft Word 2003 and higher, so you can use all of the functionality that comes with that program.  You can also change font types and styles, add pictures, clipart and changed all text colors and sizes.

Do I need a special printer to print?

No, our templates print beautifully on any standard ink jet or laser printer.

Purchasing your funeral program template is quick and easy

2.  Checkout and pay with credit card on our secure site or Pay with Paypal account.
3.  Once payment is complete, you will immediately receive an email that will contain a link to your funeral program template file.  You can also download your template from the account details section of our website.
4.  Click link to download your file, and begin creating your funeral program!

How long will it take to get my template?

How do I download my funeral program template?

You can download your templates two ways.  Templates can be downloaded from the link in the “Download-Info” email that you received upon purchase of the template,  or you can download from “Order Details” on the  Elegant Memorials Website.  You can download your templates 5 times over a 10 day period.  Once you have downloaded you template, it is on your computer.  If you have problems downloading your template, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 1.  After you have purchased your template, you will receive an email with the subject “Download-Info”.  Simply click on the link located in the email.

How do I edit my funeral program template?

Simply open your template using Microsoft Word 2003 or higher (Not Microsoft Works).  Once you have your template open, simply
click in the text boxes, remove sample text, and type in the text you want.  Remember, all text is editable in your template.  You can also change font sizes and colors. You may also cut and paste from other documents, however, be aware that the text may contain formatting (fonts, color, sizes) from the original file.

How do I insert a picture in my template?

1.  Click in the "placeholder" cover photo and delete text.
2.  With cursor in the placeholder photo box, Go to Insert | Picture | From File on the Word Main Menu.  Navigate to where your picture is located.  Click Insert.
3.  Photo should be inserted in placeholder box on front cover.  Depending on the size of your picture, you may need to re-adjust text or image.

How do I edit my graduated fold funeral program template

To edit and insert your photo for your graduated fold funeral program template follow the above directions. To change the text on the right-hand side of the template, simply click by each letter, delete the existing letter, and replace with the letter that you want.
1. Insert your cursor (click) beside the first letter.
2. Delete the letter, and type the letter that you want.
3. Use the “DOWN” arrow to move to the next line
4. Repeat until the name is fully typed.
